The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that a convicted felon pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition.

According to an indictment, on Jan. 1, Heath Tyler Bryan, 33, was found in possession of a firearm and ammunition after he'd been previously convicted of a felony.

Charges against Bryan arose after a probe by Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Honorable Judge D. Edward Snow accepted the plea and Bryan was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending his sentence. Assistant United States Attorney Edith A. Singer prosecuted the case.
