Stilwell resident pleads guilty to federal gun charge
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that a Stilwell resident pleaded guilty to a federal firearm offense.
Nakiah Twobear Eagle, 27, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Charges arose from a probe by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
According to the indictment, Eagle possessed a .22 LR caliber pistol in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime on Aug. 30, 2022.
The Honorable Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. Eagle was to be remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending his sentencing.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Geizura prosecuted the case.
