Stilwell man sentenced to 30 years for aggravated sexual abuse
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that a Stilwell resident was sentenced to 30 years in prison for aggravated sexual abuse.
Bryan Udale Jones, 63, pleaded guilty to the charge and according to investigators, he sexually assaulted a minor under the age of 13 beginning in 2003 and continuing into 2010. As part of his plea agreement, Jones admitted to additional assaults of three other minors over a span of 15 years.
Charges arose from a probe by the by Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Adair County Sheriff's Office.
“Four innocent children suffered unimaginable horrors at the hands of Bryan Jones. He is both a danger and a disgrace, and now, thanks to the courage of the victims who came forward in this case, he will spend the rest of his natural life behind prison bars,” said FBI Oklahoma City Special Agent Edward J. Gray. “This sentence sends a clear message that the FBI and our law enforcement partners will not tolerate the abuse and exploitation of children.”
The Honorable Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing. Jones was to be remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending transportation to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Paladino prosecuted the case.
