Police Reports 8-16-23: woman arrested for trespassing at mobile home park

A local woman was told she needed an order from a judge before she could step onto property where she was banned.

On Aug. 9, Tahlequah Police Lt. Bryan Qualls was dispatched to Stepp Mobile Home Park in reference to a woman who was trespassing. The caller said Monica Diaz was on the property and she was banned in July 2023. Qualls located Diaz at the intersection of Willis Road and South Muskogee Avenue. She said she knew she wasn’t supposed to be at the mobile home park, but she was only there to get property she thought belonged to her. Qualls reminded Diaz that she needed an order from a judge to be allowed on the property, and that a law enforcement officer would have had to escort her there. Diaz had no order and was booked for trespassing after being forbidden.

Officer Bruce Gower responded to Walmart Aug. 7 due to a woman who allegedly shoplifted and was trespassing. Employees said Cynthia Atkins failed to scan a pie and a bottle of soda. The woman was transported to jail for booking and officers found a baggie containing a white crystal substance in a fanny pack Atkins had with her. Atkins was booked for petit larceny, trespassing, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

On Aug. 6, Officer Ohavyah Soto was called to Thunder Bowl for a report of a disturbance. The officer arrived to find Rachelle Luvian and another person arguing in the parking lot. Luvian reportedly appeared to be under the influence as she seemed lethargic and slurred her words. The woman admitted to taking medication and CBD gummies. Luvian was arrested and booked for public intoxication.

Officer Gower was on patrol in the area of U.S. Highway 62 and Park Hill Road Aug. 7 when he observed an expired tag to a Chevy Malibu. The driver, David Pacheco, said he didn’t have a driver’s license. Dispatch confirmed that the man’s license had been revoked. Pacheco showed Gower a citation he received for the same offense a month earlier. Pacheco was transported to jail and booked for driving under revocation and taxes due state.

Officer J.D. Alberty advised officers that James Tillison had stolen a purse from a Dollar General on Aug. 7. Officer Austin Hughart was looking for the man in the area of Wilson Avenue and Jo Street when he found him. Tillison was searched and items missing from the purse were found on his person. The man was transported to jail and booked for petit larceny.
