Investigators seize 2.5 pounds of meth/fentanyl while serving warrant

A woman was arrested after authorities seized over 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine, mixed with fentanyl, March 28.

Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and the District 27 Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Hulbert Police Department, served a search warrant to a residence at the South Breeze Trailer Park.

"We knew there was a wanted person who was staying there so we served a search warrant and in the process of that, we found a pistol and over 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine," Sgt. Pete Broderick said.

The drug also tested positive for fentanyl and has been turned over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for further testing.

Claudia Moore was arrested and Broderick said they will request a warrant to be issued on a second woman.

"We're also charging them with child endangerment and child neglect because a minor child was there during the sales," Broderick said.

Moore was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center and booked on tribal charges for drug trafficking, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, child endangerment, and child neglect.
