Golf tournament to benefit firefighters

The annual Boots on the Green Golf Tournament is slated for Sept. 15 and proceeds go toward the Fallen Firefighter's fund, the Firefighter's Medical Hardship fund, and a local nonprofit charity.
The Cherokee County Firefighters Association is hosting the annual event, which will be at the Cherokee Springs Golf Course in Tahlequah. Sign-in time starts at 11:30 a.m. and the event starts at 12:30 p.m.
Lowrey Assistant Fire Chief and Vice Chair of the CCFA Gary Erlandson said sponsors, door prizes, and teams are needed for this event.
Registration costs are $75 per person or $300 for a team of four. Lunch and swag bags and door prizes are included. Forms and registration are on Facebook at "Boots on the Green Golf Tourney for CCFFA."
Sponsorship opportunities include; Platinum Sponsor, $1,000, one 12x24 sign on a hole and one playing team; Gold Sponsor, $500, one 9x12 sign on a hole and one playing team; Silver Sponsor, $300, exclusive sponsorship for one hole and one 12x24 sign on the hole; and Hole Sponsor, $125, one 9x12 sign (one of three possible sponsor signs for the hole).
